The website of Shanghai Global Award for Sustainable Development in Cities (Shanghai Award) and its materials are co-owned by United Nations Human Settlements Programme, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of China, and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government (the “Organizer of Shanghai Award”).

Terms of use
The use of this website constitutes agreement with the following terms and conditions:
(a) The United Nations Human Settlement Programme (UN-Habitat) maintains and administers this website (the “Site”) as a courtesy to those who may choose to access the Site (the “Users”) 
(b)Presentation and administration of all materials on the Site from UN-Habitat should be in accordance with the present Terms and Conditions and Shanghai Award Application rules.  
(c)The Organizer of Shanghai Award has right to terminate or suspend the User’s access to the Site without notice and or for any reason, including the violation of Terms and Conditions or unlawful and harmful actions to others.
 
Data Protection and Privacy Policy
All personal data and information provided will be processed in accordance with the United Nations Principles on Personal Data Protection and Privacy. Certain information such as IP addresses, navigation through the Site, software use and time spent, and other relevant information might be stored in the servers of the Site. The information provided by the Users can be used for website traffic analysis, statistical and award reviewing assessment purposes. This means the unique information provided such as name, address and other information provided by the User will be stored on the Site, and will be shared with experts designated by UN-Habitat to assess the applications. However, it will not be published for the general access and will not specifically identify the User. The use of the Site also constitutes agreement with following terms and conditions: 
(a) The User might be contacted via email to inform them about the related events and activities.
(b) The User manages the information shared on the “user profile page” and has the right to edit the content of the page. The User has the right to edit the information on their application before it is submitted to the UN-Habitat. 
(c) In case of security of this information, the Site assumes no responsibility.
(d) UN-Habitat reserves the right to monitor content submitted by the Users to the Site, and delete, remove, edit any material that violates these Terms and Conditions.

Disclaimers
The materials on the Site can be periodically changed, improved or updated without notice. UN-Habitat is not responsible for any loss, damage, liability or expense suffered resulted from the use of the Site. The United Nations is not liable for any conduct of the User. Maintaining the security of the account is under responsibility of the User. Providing false contact information of any kind may result in the termination of the User’s account. If there is a breach of the security, the User shall notify the UN-Habitat about the unauthorised use of the account. If the User does not agree to the materials or Terms and Conditions of use, the User should discontinue using the Site. If there are any external links at this Site, the UN-Habitat is not responsible for the content of such links and it does not imply endorsement by the UN-Habitat.
